The Wife wanted more power! She got it!

After I had my cat-back and CAI installed the wife got jealous... So I hooked her up with an early Valentines gift. Most woman want Jewelry, my wife wants performance parts for her H3. How cool is that? Last weekend I took my H2 to Zoomers exhaust for their cat-back system and a Hypertech tuner. Wow what a difference. I also installed myself, the DUB air kit, what a sweet set-up all three together really woke up my heavy pig of a truck...

Check these threads for H2 pics.:

Well after she drove my Hummer she said, "What about ME?" I'm thinking what did I do, well what could I do? I took it down to Zoomers yesterday and they installed their H3 stainless exhaust along with a K&N filter. I went the cheep route on the filter but I had already dropped more than a grand on my own rig, so she got the economy version...

I wasn't sure how this exhaust would sound on a 5 banger, but it was surprisingly deep and throaty.. The idle is almost V8 like, not quite, but definitely not rice burner. The sound is very smooth and mellow with absolutely no cabin drone. It has a very nice tone to it and a great WOT.

It's only been a day but it seems that the flat spot under WOT has gone away. Do you know what I'm talking about? With the stock exhaust when you nailed the throttle, it made noise like it wanted to go but just seemed to flatten out. Now the truck now pulls like never before, I swear I can feel a difference..

I'm so far really impressed with this set-up. Here are some pics. of the installation. The guys at Zoomers are cool I've been there twice this week and they let me take some great pics. for this forum to see. Hope you like em... The Wife is so pleased which makes me pleased.

Looks pretty sweet man. Wheres Zoomers at anyway? I grew up in San Clemente and am down there surfing all the time. I might stray away from the dual exhaust so I dont scrape it across the rocks and go with a turn down, but the rest of the system looks clean. How much did you spend on the wifeys 3? Wish I could get away with upgrading the wifes car for V-day, although she is already pushing close to 300hp in her Audi. Not much left to do there. :beerchug:

Please wipe some rust preventer or oil or wd40 or something on that driveshaft--other then that --very cool indeed. The Rebel.

Looks good! Is it just the pic or does the exhaust bend up right at the rear axle or before? Hard to tell, but might want to look at that if you cram tires a lot. Had a dual exhaust put on my Cherokee, though the bend was ok and tore the clamps and bent a tube first time I stuffed the rear axle. Have someone fat jump up and down on the rear axle to see if it will articulate up into the tube, or go climb some curbs or something - better to find out now than later on the trail and have to listen to a torn exhaust all the way home.

Zoomers are in Irvine CA www.zoomersexhaust.com

I spent $50.00 on the K&N and $699.00 on the exhaust plus $60.00 for installation. The wife doesn't do any 4 wheelin weez city slickers...

She doesn't do much off roading but in pic. number 4 you'll see that the muffler angles up along with the pipe that go's into y pipe which is after the axle. There is plenty of room, I can't see it ever hitting anything..

Here's a better pic off the zoomers web site: http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/slides...slideshow.html See pic. #6

Mine looks like this after only 1450 miles (and 6 months of ownership + X months on the dealer lot).

IlikeHummers did you trash the old exhaust, eBay it, or other? On the passenger-side-where the exhaust tip shows--did they have to mod/bend the bumper for clearance, or is it okay as-is?

If you get a good layer of mud on the drive-shaft you don't notice the rust so much:D

I'm hanging on to the old exhaust and by the looks of it there is no mod of the bumper cut out on the passenger side

I know they should be paying me... I first saw Zoomers at my dealer, I liked it so I thought I would share.
