6in lift?
I want to put about 6in lift and 35's on. Who makes a lift that's not to much $$$:crying:
|
Re: 6in lift?
I found this - http://www.suspensionconnection.com/...?mv_pc=froogle
which is a 4in is that 4in front and back? if so do I need or could I also get a leveling kit and add it on?:shhh: |

No, there is more lift in the front than the back with both this lift and the Rancho. Also, depending on what backspace you have on your new wheels, you may have to replace them again with either lift. |
Re: 6in lift?
the tough country looks like a rip off on the rancho kit , you cant use stock wheels :(
|
Re: 6in lift?
why is that, also I dont use stock wheels or tires...
|
Re: 6in lift?
also we are talking about over $1000 dif so is it that big of a ripoff?
|
Re: 6in lift?
i just checked the RC site . check out what it said for the H3 lift .
This kit is currently being redesigned. Please check back here for updates or contact us, 1-800-222-7023. RC = :OWNED: remember when we all went nutz for this kit :giggling: ;) |
Re: 6in lift?
looks like the tough country is the same for a much better price :beerchug:

The way the kits are designed you need a wheel with less backspacing, and sometimes increased diameter. |
Re: 6in lift?
tough country do they make something around the $1400 price range?
|
Re: 6in lift?
you will need shocks with the kit , so check with 4-wheel parts they sometimes run free shock promotions with their lift kits . i think you found the most economical one available now . the rancho is probably the best available now . Keep shoppin !!!!

Just curious, what's the reason for wheels with less backspacing on the lift kits? |

Haven't seen one in person, but I'm guessing there's some clearance issues with the brakes and new knuckles due to some geometry changes. Here's Rancho's wheel guide for the lift from their site. Attachment 36446 Maybe someone with the lift can shed some more light. |

Re: 6in lift?
I just installed a 4" Rancho on mine. Took me about six hours. The kit is really well made and rides much beter then it did when it was stock. I had to install a set of YJ boomerang shackles because I had clearance problems with my aftermarket hitch. It would have been fine with the factory hitch. With the extra lift from the shackles I had to crank the front trosion bars up to five inches. But you could get six if you wanted to. I'm running 35-12.50-18 Procomp Xtreme all terrains on 18x9 Moto Metal 955 with 4.52" of backspacing. You could run the stock wheels if you had some wheel spacers.

It's because of the spindles, The lip of the rim rubs on it. You would need bout a 1.5" wheel spacer to use the stock wheels. |
