Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
AT LEAST THEY ARE REAL NUMBERS

Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
They didn't change too much either. I'm waiting for the H2 ratings since they are now included. Maybe that's why the drivetrain is changing in 2008.... :D

Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
Right on the money for my 06

Same here, close to my real mpg.

Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
Must mean their new testing is actually pretty true to real world results then! That's impressive! The Prius droped down quite a bit from where it was. Most SUV's surprisingly had very little change. Cars are where things really moved around.
The H3 also has a 6/10 pollution score, with 10 being best and 0 being worst. |
Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
07 shows 15/17 range vs 06 getting 16/17 mpg. Happy with my 06 avg 18mpg with auto...:beerchug:

Right on the $$$$ for mine too! 23 tanks in and I'm averaging 14.77 5 of those were a trip to Colorado which averaged 17.42 |
Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
they gota drop 2 more so that i'd be in the zone.:twak: So is this because of the 3.7L or because testing has changed?

Testing has changed for 2008 in an attempt to more accurately match real world MPG. If you click in the sidebar on the Fuel Economy page, you'll see a link explaining the new testing, and why it was implimented. |
Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
It's about time they got a little more realistic with the MPG ratings... a long overdue move imo. Thanks for the head's up.

Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
:iagree: Much closer to the real mileage on mine as well, although I think I get almost or an actual 20 mpg on the highway.
But in the city, this is much more accurate. And I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong with mine due to the lower city MPGs. F5 also is correct - the mileage is much worse in the cold weather. :beerchug: |
Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
That's probably closer to what I actually get in my '07 Adventure. I've heard rumors that Hummer is going to offer a H2 with a Duramax diesel with an Allison tranny. The combo is supposed to get the H2 20 MPG. Maybe then the greenies will go away and bother some other brand.

Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
Mine rates like this...
Gas in tank, guage reads 'F'. Drive around, city or highway. Who really cares. When fuel guage read 'E', then re-fuel and drive again.:clapping: |
Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
Just some further comparisons. Anyone notice something strange?

ohh cmon there not ugly, ours is just better looking!

Re: New H3 MPG Ratings
Nah, it has to do with the mileage figures. The H3 is the only vehicle there with 14/18 that gets a 15 average. Notice the JK and Toureg.
