JL Stealth
I replaced my head unit w/ a Pioneer Avic-Z1 and added two Vizualogics in the rear. I'm looking to replace the "BLOWS" speakers, add 2 amps, and a JL stealth Box.
Any feedback on speakers and amps that you guys like and dislike would be great, thanks. |
Re: JL Stealth
Try this instead...
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/oem/hummersuv.asp If that doesn't work, do something to mildly damage your ear drums until the Bose sounds good. On a side note, Bose sounds fine to me. |
Re: JL Stealth
Do you lose the use of the seat w/ that subwoofer?
|
Re: JL Stealth
I don't have it, I was hoping to get someone else to try it out before I considered it. ;)
I read a little about it and no, you don't lose the seat but you can't fold the back of the seats completely flat unless you remove it. I think it's just plug connectors, so it can easily be removed if need be. |
Re: JL Stealth
i have the jl stealth box .. sounds good with a jl audio 500/1 amp powering it .. the stealth box sits in the back window.. in place of the back side pocket. you dont loose any space .which is nice . i also am using it with the pioneer z1 . works great!

Re: JL Stealth
I would highly recommend a 500/1 JL Audio amp to power the sub and JL Audio 300/4 or 450/4 amp to power the speakers I replaced the Bose speakers with MB Quart PCE-216 speakers and I am very happy with the sound.
My total set up is the Alpine IVA-W200(comparable to the Avic Z1) MB Quart PCE-216 speakers JL Audio 12w-7 subwoofer in custom sub box JL Audio 1000/1 amp JL Audio 450/4 Amp |
Re: JL Stealth
thats also what i have and i highly recomend it .. but i have the pioneer z1.. but the amps and speakers would be a great choice.!
