Re: OIL QUESTION
To reset the oil life: Turn you key to the "ON" position but don't start it. Fully depress the gas pedal 3 times. You should be good to go......

I use 5w30 Mobil 1 syn and a Wix or K&N filter. Don't forget to lube all those nipples while you're all dirty and greasy anyway.:D

Re: OIL QUESTION
Need:
6 quarts of 5W-30 Mobil 1 Full Synthetic Oil filter Mobil 1 (M1-107) or K&N (HP-1007) or Wix (51042) or NAPA Gold Tool to loosen/tighten filter Wrench (15mm or adjustable) Tin Foil Container for old oil Funnel Rags / Old Newspaper 1. Drive around the block a couple times to make engine ?warm?. 2. Put down rags and container. 3. Loosen the oil plug nut SLOWLY. The hole faces sideways (not down). Completely let it drain. Put the nut back on. 4. Next remove the oil filter, and be aware that over a pint of oil will spill. Take one foot of tin foil and cover what's next to and under the filter and shape the foil so it funnels the spillage into your container. Loosen the filter, let it drain, then remove it. VERY IMPORTANT: Do not forget to put some oil on the ring seal of the new oil filter prior to placing it back on the engine Put the new filter on and tighten. 5. Open the hood, look for the cap that says ?Oil 5W-30?, put in your 6 quarts and your done. |
Re: OIL QUESTION
well thank you zman thats very helpful i am waiting for the filter to turn up its not so easy to get service bits over here you can get them from the one main dealer in manchester but he charges over the top for everything so we have to find cheaper ways and ebay usa seems the best up to now but waiting kills it
but thanks to all who have helped cheers |
