WHAT WOULD U CHOOSE?

i have the opportunity to buy a 2003 wagon with 2k miles, pristine condition.
AMG has gone over the vehicle and put it in "as new" condition.
like new tires, etc..whatever else.
its fully loaded, winch, etc.
the asking price is 70k firm.
sounds a little high to me, but ......

would u consider this vehicle or maybe try for an 04?
i would be barely able to come up with the dough either way.
thanks

Is this a factory demo, i.e., it was used to run the AM General test course over and over and over? If so, the 2,000 miles have been torturous.

On the other hand, if you just mean it's like a GM CPO, then I think it isn't terrible. Depends on what kind of warranty you get with it.

Personally, I like the older trucks better than the newer ones, with the exception of the factory slantback and the 2004 and ALPHA. I HATE the grey interior. But to each his own on the color schemes. :)

My truck is being a bitch right now though.

Ya was it a test vehicle through the courses, cause like blueHUMMERH2 said those 2000 miles would have been extremly hard on the vehicle, but if it was just someones who hardly drove it, shouldnt be bad. Im not sure on whta the starting prices were for the 2002's so i cant tell you about the price

it was actually leased to hollywood. there is a plaque with all the movies and commercials it was in.
so, it wasnt a test vehicle.

The 2003 are not as good 4 wheeling as the 1997.5 or 1998. Because of BTM. If I bought the 2003 I'd add front e-locker. Then you would have a truck that could follow the older Hummers. I can follow the older Hummers with my 04 H2, except for ground clearance, ctis, btm, front and rear elockers 38 inch tires, heavy duty suspension, better under body protection and deep water. Take all that stuff off and I can go any where they can!!:violin:

70 isnt bad for a basically new h1. We had a 03 wagon it was alright, but I drove a 2004 the interior was a HUGE improvement! it also seemed a lot more quiet inside the cabin, lol maybe that was just because I was more comfortable so didnt notice the sounds as much. I would think that the 2004's would be a fair bit more than the 2003's because of the updated interior. But the bottom line is both would be fun trucks to own and drive.
