I just ordered my new slate blue, adv. package, 5-spd. How long till it gets here

u need to ask your dealer

they might find it at another place or they will have to get it built from scratch

they ordered it from the factory

In a few days your dealer will get an order number. Once you get that you can call Hummer support and they will give you a build date. From there you are looking at 2-4 weeks.

The build start date greatly depends on how you have your truck configured and what GM is building at that particular time.

Mine build date took 5 weeks from the day I placed the order, mostly due to the sunroof.

Others (I have heard) were started in less than 2 weeks.

I got the sunroof, towing package, and roof rail airbags so I guess that will make it take longer also.............its gonna be a long wait.......i'm drivin an 86 f150 4 spd rust bucket right now......I've already sold my old car so i'll be drivin the farm truck for a while

From what i understand the Sunroofs were in short supply so they were being allociated to the more premium cars first (ie, Lux package). Not sure if that is still the case as i added the Lux package to mine after the initial order.

Just a recap on my timeline.
order date August 26
build date September 12
ship date September 15
arrival at dealer October 2
pick up date October 4

When you guys order, do you pay MSRP? I would think the dealer would be more pleased to see a lot item.

Hey Jake I ordered mine on Sept 15 it was shipped yesterday and my dealer has a (can't remember what he called it) but a date of 10/14 of when he starts paying for it being on his lot and he said that date is usually the week its delivered. If its delievered by then that'll be 4 weeks. I'll let you know if it happens.

wow that would be really fast....my dealer said 6-8 weeks

yeah thats what my dealer said when I ordered too 6-8. i've also heard it takes 3 weeks after shipped for delivery. the guy at the gm info line said 2 weeks at the most for shipping depending on where you are. I'm in AZ I think the answer you get probably changes with every person you talk too. Either way though 2 weeks from order to shipping is fast. By the way I ordered the 5 speed too and sunroof. So they're definitely not holding back for those.
