Whats this offroad Ford thing that looks like a Hummer
 

Went out to cracker barrel for lunch two days ago, and saw this, i looked and walked around it and it was a Ford, it had a U.S orange license plate on it that said transportation on the top. It has resemblence to the H1 and the Lamborghini SUV that was made. Anyone know what it is, and what its used for.

The best i can guess is it's somebodys bad idea of a joke.:giggling:

Seriously, it looks like a homemade something or other.

Somebody down here made a H1 replica that really didn't turn out too bad.

I'll see if I can get a photo or 2 the next time I pass by it.

Maybe we should start a "Post your Hummer wannabe lookalike photo here" thread.:D

only reason why i would say no to the homebuilt theory is cause it had a US Gov. Transportation license plate

The US Gov't transportation tag is just that, its a tag used on siezed or confisacted (spell check) vehicles. It means nothing other than it is being moved to be sold at auction or stored.

I think it's called a "bummer". There is a full size truck conversion kit with a hummer looking body.
