Grille Guard Install - Help!
I just purchased a Grille Guard from Ebay, and as I started to remove the tow bracket I noticed that it's not that easy to remove. Can someone please give me advise on the best way to remove it. I have a 2006 H3. Thank you

Re: Grille Guard Install - Help!
If you have a early build (Gm emblem next to H3 on door , black + silver hubcaps and no torx screw on front of tow hooks)
You either have to remove bumper to get to holding bolt through the back,or Tape off around tow hook and snap the holding clip and reverse twist off the hooks(the back bolt is not needed in reassembly) I havent done it yet myself but use the search on top there are many threads on this subject. List pics when your done Good luck :beerchug: |
Re: Grille Guard Install - Help!
i did it - not too hard and pretty quick.
take the tow brackets off... then force that little biatch of a screw off in the middle (dunno the name / torck screw? hexigon looking one) - just turn the whole tow mount piece until it pops loose and keep twisting. and thats it, then put the guard on and put it all back together.. guess i shoulda took some pix huh...would have helped. |

Ran over to Hunter at lunchtime and picked up a black grill guard. :excited:
I actually NEED the grill guard to attach my kayak bow line tie downs while carrying them on top. Will post pics when I get it on....:) |

This description is pretty clear and self explanatory once you get into the job. 30 minute job if you know what you are doing. Took me a couple of hours. (I are an Engunear ) Finished in the dark, too late for pics. Thanks for the help, Saad! :beerchug: |
