Good morning/afternoon.:)

I am just sitting here eating fish on a bagel and drinking a low fat latte.;):D

Today we're going up to the shore for food and some pyrotech-a-nic activities.:D

Went to a bbq at the neighbors last night- so yesterday afternoon I made a huge batch of red potato salad and split it into two (one for last night and one for today- 14 ppl in all). A lot of potatoes and steam and I had onion/celery hands.:( But.... I don't have to do anything today but eat and plug my ears.

The weather has been pretty nice so it should be great.

What's everyone up to?

Going to Wisconsin to help out the in-laws with some stuff. It's usually a bit of a haul to get there. I'm hoping we won't spend half the day stuck in traffic because of the holiday weekend. :o

Hopefully after the work is done we can have a few beers, relax and do some bbq-ing.

Well doing some paperwork at the moment....then going to take some pics of the new 08 sitting in the garage to post up here on the site...then a trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo for the day. The kiddo wanted to go and its going to be a purty day to see some of everyones relatives at the monkey cage....LOL

Only had 1/2 a bagel today with low fat cream cheese, egg beaters with onion and lox and a diet coke...

They have me on a low carb diet for my DIABEEEETES :excited:

Workin on a tight deadline project today and tomorrow. Will try to squeeze in a littl' NASCAR tonight. Cuban Pressed Sandwiches for dinner!!!

Your potatoes were/are great.

Let me tell you all something about last night's BBQ. We were offered burgers, hotdogs and special, secret recipe turkey burgers.

I was stoked about the burgers and dogs, but wanted to be polite, so I said make me one of each. I mean, I really couldn't pass up the "secret" recipe turkey burger, now can I?

The cheeseburger was fantastic. All the while I was eating it I was spying the hotdog that was next on my list, but NOOOOoooooo.... One of the kids wanted another one so I let her have mine. Polite aren't I?

Time for the turkey burger. FWIW, I'm not a turkey burger fan at all. Give me beef.

I put it on a bun with some ketchup and mayo and took a bite of this "delicious, super secret turkey burger thing".

Surprise, surprise, it isn't bad. I compliment the cook and ask what's in the "super secret turkey burger". As she's telling us about the rosemary, thyme, mint, and other green things I get start getting this rather bad after-taste in my mouth.

Bite number two goes down a little slower.

Bite three goes down very slow.

I'll never finish this piece of crap on my plate. What to do, what to do?

I grab the fantastic potatoe salad that someone made and hoof-down a ton of it.

Bite number four almost comes back out. I'm gagging. Really, it's about to come out. I chew slowly keeping some of the food on each side of my mouth while swallowing itty, bitty pieces at a time.

That's it, I can't have anymore.

What to do, what to do.....

"Wow, I'm stuffed." I'm not, damnit, I want another cheeseburger and where's that kid that I gave my hotdog to?

"That was great, I just can't eat another bite." SOB, I really, really want that hotdog.

So we sat there talking while I grunted and occasionally stated how full I was while I was, drooling of what might have been.

As we left, I told CP if she ever made me one of those, I'd divorce her. She LOL because she really thought I liked the dirt burger.

I think I can still taste it and it ruined the first beer I had last night.:rant:

Oh yeah, another neighbor showed up shortly after I abandoned the thing and ordered one for himself. I swear it took him 15 minutes to get it down.:giggling:

I've got a chronic rattle somewhere under the rig. Might be the Edelbrock trailing arms, shocks, bent skid plate, loose bolts, or some other trail related issue. Might wash it and make it rain here.:D

I'm sitting on the couch while my husband is changing my spark plugs. I'm not really sure what we are going to do today:confused:

Well, this weekend has turned into Suckville. Hubby has recently been "promoted" (HA HA) to 24-7 on call. Which means all Labor Day fun activities have been officially obliterated because we have to sit at home and wait for the freakin phone to ring (which it has....worked Friday night, yesterday from 6-5, and has been at work since 7 this AM). River plans = cancelled. Parade of Homes = cancelled. Kids museum = cancelled. Sucks.

Gives me loads of free time to do laundry, put Ebay online (no listing fees this month), and organize my pantry. JUST what I wanted to do on a holiday weekend.

Yes, I'm bitter, I've been stuck with a 2yr old without a break for over a week now, I'm out of Coke, and it looks like it's tv dinners again tonight.

Done with the plugs! Great!!! Kinda rough. Degreased the engine bay and dried it out just before the monsoon began. Guess we are going to look at some new cars today and get a line level to hang some pictures that have been sitting in the floor for some time now. Hopefully we will be able to stay awake today and maybe I can con the wife into helping me wash the Hummer later......:giggling: ;)

Washed the vehicles today.

Wife sat in her lounge chair and pointed out where I left hand prints while drying it off.

Sprayed wife with hose .

Got ass kicked.

I got shafted...I ended up washing the truck...however the wife showed up right as I finished. She did help dry it though. Went to Hard Rock Cafe and ate dinner. VERY NICE DAY! And nite:dancingbanana:
