Very nice! Looks like a great time indeed.

Gotta love bird hunting in west tx as you have several choices of game out there.

Thanks for the compliments, dogs are all well, didn't like getting the quills pulled, for those who don't know there is a texture on the end of the quill like a barb easy in but doesn't like to come out. A little blood with each quill but once all out you would have never known he had them, my guys are pretty tough. I didn't get a pic but the day before Tracker was off chasing a rabbit and ran through something with a lot of thorns. When he came back past me he wasn't bleeding any more but had lots of blood on his chest, legs and chin with a few needles still in him but he's fine:D

Great pics!

Our lab got it in the nose by a porcupine also and like a dumbass I proceeded to pull each one out with hemostats. It was pretty fricken loud!

After all was said and done a doctor that lives next door stopped over and asked about Max and informed me that if you cut part of the quill...it releases pressure inside the quill allowing it to come out easier.

Don't quite know if that's true or not the dog never went near another one for me to test it out!

I'm sure it is. His dogs have "dog boots" on to help protect from raw pads. I hunt my two boys with those also. The tape is the only way to insure they stay on and keep the debris out.

GREAT PICS! AGAIN!

I see....is that due to the terrain being mostly rocky? Never saw them used around here (PA) before since most of our terrain is soft so to speak.

gotta wear boots for both the rocks and cactus, years ago ran Scout on some simular property without boots had planed on a 3 day hunt, didn't make one full day before he was so tore up we had to go home. I don't usually boot in Nebraska but west Tx and Az a must
