Recovery Tools
Just wondering, What are you guys using for recovery tools? Whats been working good in the field? D-rings? Strap size? Are you attaching to factory hoops or to hitch shackles? have you broke a 10,000# pulling in mud?
Just wondering, I am making up a recovery toolbox and would like some opinions. Thanks |
Re: Recovery Tools
Start with this (I know you don't need this, but others will)
If you have stock tierods, buy an extra set or two. Then you can add: Winch with synthetic line, snatch blocks, tree saver, shackles, Pull Pal, ratchet straps Leather gloves, hand wipes, first aid kit, change of cloths or cover alls Axe, shovel, flashlight, Hurricane Tape, zip ties, knife, saw Tool kit, electrical repair kit, tire repair kit, spare nuts, bolts, screws, etc Air tank with tools, flashlights Spare food, plenty of water, and a jerry can of fuel CB and/or FRS Get with whoever you plan on wheeling with so one of you isn't responsible for supplying all the gear. |
