DE-BADGING?

Has anyone debadged their H2? I know you heat up emblems with a heat gun and use dental floss etc...but are there placement holes in the door and tailgate?? Anyone know?

Re: DE-BADGING?

i think its just stuck on. If you dont have luck with floss try fishing string.

Re: DE-BADGING?

There are no placement holes in the door. If you get yours off without damaging them, I am looking for a set for a project....let me know.
Thanks, Ron

Re: DE-BADGING?

I am going to retry in the morning. I just tried by spraying Goo Gone on the top of the H2 emblem, tried prying with fishing line. No avail. Since I play guitar, I always have some guitar strings laying around. I know that will work. I will take pics in the morning, Joe.

Re: DE-BADGING?

I would heat em up with a heat gun or hair dryer, I've debadged dozens of vehicles that way. :beerchug:

Pics? How did you do yours? I didn't get a chance to do mine yet.

Re: DE-BADGING?

Came out awesome!
I just used a tiny screw driver and pulled away from the vehicle, from behind the emblem. They came off easily. I wiped off the old adhesive with gas.

Re: DE-BADGING?

I did mine last night. I used a screwdriver as well, and mangled those poor emblems....lol. Looks much better. It's the only clean spot on my H2. :clapping:

Re: DE-BADGING?

I didn't harm mine at all...a tiny chip in one, thats it. You must be really strong then. :giggling:

Anyone want to buy some "pre-owned" emblems??? :)

Re: DE-BADGING?

What are you asking for them Bimmer? I could use a set if the price is right.
