...and I beat you all to it!
Rich hurt himself at work Friday and is on crutches and at home till at least sometime next week. On the plus side: he gets awesome pain killers, he watched RENT with me if I agreed he didn't have to actually "watch" it, he can sleep late, he has time to read Twilight, we got free coffee at Starbucks and I got to tell some kid tonight that was staring...THEY'RE CRUTCHES!...I tell you, the cripples get no respect at Walmart. Tomorrow we're having this awesome dinner Rich found on Food Network which is stuffed, grilled burgers. He stuffs them with bleu cheese and mushrooms, etc. Awesome stuff. I make a great stuffed mushroom with crab meat dip. He's not supposed to get his foot wet but has waterproof bandages so maybe just maybe we can use the hot tub or pool. Speaking of which, the twins just got into the pool at 4 am and came in wet. I have to dry them before I go to bed cause I just changed the sheets. :soapbox: Not sure on plans tomorrow other than dinner. Probably get coffee and watch some movies. Speaking of movies, Doomsday is the freaking bomb. We got it on Blu Ray Friday night and OMG it was awesome. That's it but I beat you all and that thrills me for some odd reason. |

FREE StarBucks coffee...how did you do that ???
Sounds like your having fun with him at home...do you slow down when he's chasing you... BTW no such thing as a WATERPROOF bandage/protector or whatever...even a giant condom won't seal at the top properly...float the foot on a childs tube... went a different route this morning...had Challah French Toast (look it up on google) have a good day all........................ |
Re: Sunday 8/10/08
We got free coffee because they know us there pretty well and anytime they want to be nice to us we get our stuff free. And we drink the frozen drinks and iced drinks too. I love it there, everyone is super cool.
So far we're okay being together. We'll see if cabin fever sets in and we start throwing things. LOL I'll try to go back to bed now, I had one of those stomach charley horses. Not cool! PS challah french toast sounds totally nummy. Mmmm! |
Re: Sunday 8/10/08
I go to one StarBucks about 90 % of the time, mostly in the DriveThru. (sometimes) if I fumble with my money too long they "GAT-AU-DA-HERE" and shu me away without taking money...
Its nice to go to a place where they ask you "the USUAL ?" or I order a Grande MIKE (no other words spoken except "please drive up" and "thanks for visiting us" |

Am I the only one who doesn't go to Starbucks???
Hubby is working today so I'm stuck with both kids...inside since it's 100F. Ick. At least the Olympics are on, it's a good distraction for the toddler. So nothing much today...just trying to make it till 8 PM without ripping all my hair out or killing one of them. The little guy (ha ha) had his 4 mo check up on Thursday tho - 20 lbs, 11oz. He's in 12 mo clothes and outgrew his car seat. One freakin big kid. Stacy |
Re: Sunday 8/10/08
Stacy,
This is not about you...really, but i have never never never never never never never heard a mother say "OH, my child who is 8 months old fit PERFECTLY in 8 months clothes, or 12 & 12, etc etc... Think about it, have you ever heard of it (except for premies)... I think the manufacturers do it on purpose to make moms feel good !!! |
Re: Sunday 8/10/08
Spent the day in Huntington Beach (aka "Surf City, USA"), had lunch at Duke's, listened to a live band while on the beach. 84 degrees, sun and sand. :D We're taking my dad to Macaroni Grill tonight for his birthday celebration. Day of eating. :o

I wish that was the case - but most folks I know DO have 4 mo olds who fit into 3-6 mo clothing (a typical baby who was 7 lbs at birth will be 14 lbs at 4 mos - which is in the 3-6 mo size of most brands). He's on track (he was 10 lbs at birth, double his weight by 4 mos) but even my ped agreed he's one big baby. At least with the 12 mo size, they group it 12-18 mos - so HOPEFULLY he'll fit in these for a while! Stacy |
