Re: fabtech tie rods

Dragon went through this with Fabtech with him being a dealer. Off record they work but, they have just not taken time to sell them that way because not enough market for them and they do not want the little bit of liability on them.

They work, I have them. If going to off road alot cognito may be the way to go. I know my stock equip. was wore out at 10,000 miles. Dealer replaced parts but, we went on with something heavier. Many people have used them offroading and no problems. These guys can cover that topic better.

Re: fabtech tie rods

so why Fabtech and not Cognito tie rods ,Cognito uses hiem joints and claim the hiem joints are sealed and are not a problem . my past experiance with hiem joints is they fail under wet dirty conditions . and both Cognito and Fabtech claim to be the best .what's the real deal .:orly:

Re: fabtech tie rods

The reason Fabtech says not to use them on stock suspension is that there is a risk, under certain conditions, that they can get stuck on the sway bar. I don't think anyone has ever had this issue, but never the less they have to cover their arse. The worst I have had happen is the sway bar hit and tore the inner rubber boot on the tie rod.
