i cant open my rear door/hatch
 

so i had one of the kids go out yesterday to get something out the hatch of the h2. but i think he pulled too hard and now i cant get it open anymore :raar: seriously can i a 7 year old kid break a latch on a hummer wtf.


is this something i can fix myself.

i had a sheet or a towel stuck in the latch part once...could open it...i nearly pulled the handle out of the door trying to get it out but it worked when i pushed from the inside...

I have heard of this on the door handles. Some have broken the handle mechanism, just plstic parts. I would assume the rear is similar. Maybe its just jambed up, try working the key in the lock.

I would hope your kids didn't jerk the handle so hard as to take the end off inside the door, but if so try and use a coat hanger with about a 1/2" L shaped hook to catch the latch and open the door.

i just fixed it there was a box of grahm crackers logged between the door and subwoofer box :raar: so i guess it was putting pressure on the locking mech.
