Fugly but valuable...

Relatives of a Newcastle based doctor have inherited a classic car worth up to ?3m ($4.35m). The car which was left in a garage gathering dust for 50 years will be sold at auction. Have you inherited any unusual or valuable gifts?

Relatives of Dr Harold Carr inherited the contents of a lock-up garage when he died in 2007. His nephew discovered the car, a 1937 Bugatti Atalante Type 57S, in the lock-up alongside a classic Aston Martin, and a Jaguar E-type.

The Bugatti was originally owned by Earl Howe - first president of the British Racing Drivers' Club, and was one of only 17 to be built.

James Knight, international head of Bonhams' motoring department, said: "It is absolutely one of the last great barn discoveries." Dr Carr's nephew, an engineer from Newcastle, said: "We just can't believe it."

If you leave your H3T in storage for 50 years. It too will be worth money to collectors...

Too bad you wont be there to enjoy the benefit:beerchug:

If you guys ever catch "Chasing Classic Cars"; it's shown on HD Net, they featured a similar Bugatti 1938 type S found in a barn. They literally dragged it out, got it rolling again and put it in an auction the very next day.

Since it was rare, but not as rare as this 37, it sold for around 1 million unrestored.

Great show if you like cars, I just wish they'd come out with new episodes.
