Excessive ice buildup in door jam

Anyone else up in the cold states experience excessive ice buildup in the door jamb? Its right in the inside jam below the hinge. Lower corner of the door hits all that ice when you open it and starts breaking it out. Sound is horrible...tab bit worried about it bending that lower door corner out. I keep on spraying the ice off w/ hot water to melt it off. Ice comes back w/ in a day or 2.

I have had it happen to me, its from the wiper wells draining down the inside of the fenders to the ground. I suggest using the garden hose to gently wash away the ice by letting it run up on the cowl and wipers. once its cleaned out it should stay out unless you don't clean out the wiper wells when full of snow.

by the way if you just use tap water or well water its coming out of the ground at 55* so don't think you need to hook to hot water.

Very Interesting Subject. I am in the northeast and have not experienced that heavy ice build up on the H2 yet, but for our equipment, such as say our snow thrower, we actually use PAM inside so the ice won't build up or stick.

Hope this suggestion helps.
