Noob question here...
Hey guys,
Just picked up an '04 H2s with 50,000 miles. I love it! Pics coming...here is my dilemma...my truck is about 1/8 - 1/4 inch too high to fit in my garage. It does have the air ride suspension and yes, I have it lowered all the way down. How do I get another 1/4 inch to fit this monster in my garage. I would hate to lose my man cave over a 1/4 inch. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Scott Garageless in Gainesville!!! |
Re: Noob question here...
1. Take off the roof racks.
2. If you have an electric garage opener - adjust it to open more. |
Re: Noob question here...
You could always build a bigger man cave.

Re: Noob question here...
I do have another 1000 square foot shop/man cave, its just 50 yards behind my house...I am too old and fat to walk that far!! I might be able to adjust the garage door another 1/4 of an inch!

Re: Noob question here...
Its specifically the LAST roof rack that is too high...my light bar and middle racks fit, the last row must be slightly higher...

Re: Noob question here...
id adjust them forward and try from there... it may be a hassle but if it works just pull it out and slide it back

Re: Noob question here...
Air down the tires before you pull in the garage and air back up when you pull out. :giggling:

Re: Noob question here...
Check the wood trim across the top of garage opening. It is most likely 1/2". I removed mine with a couple simple tools and rear rack fit in with no problem and it slid all the way to back. My ride also has air ride but, with this 1 alteration I never had to adjust anything on the H2 I just drove it right in.
