Diving under moderate braking...solution?

One of my few long-term issues with our H3 is the way the front end dives under anything heavier than gentle braking. Can anyone suggest a fix that doesn't cost an arm and leg?

That's pretty much a Hummer trait and especially noticeable on the H1, diving at stops. You could put an extra leaf in the rear springs and buy an adjustable or firmer front shock. Mine seemed to do it more the longer I owned it and I felt the front shocks wore out fast, but my H3 saw a lot of hard offroad use. To be honest I didn't notice it that much at first, but my wife noticed it and of course then I started noticing it more. I replaced them with Rancho's, and it didn't dive as much, but the ride was definitely firmer, especially if you hit a pothole.

In a similar vein, what is anyone who has done a brake upgrade used? I'm running the stock June '05 vintage brake setup and its never felt 100% designed for the rig...
