Re: Parking Brake Help

Hi to see if its a cable seized you can unhook it at the pedal ass. and if the pedal moves down, its one of the parking brake cables siezed. It could also be in behind the rotors where the parking brake shoes are, but likely its one of the cables. There is 3 cables front, L rear and R rear. I am not sure how mechanical you are but if its a rear you need to remove tire, brake caliper and rotor to get at where the cable is hooked to the parking brake shoes. Hope this helps.

FYI
fixed my issue, turns out the parking brake lever assembly sezied up and i had to replace the complete assembly.
even after the old one was removed, the old foot brake lever wont go down.

Hi glad you got it fixed. The parking brake lever assembly doesn't usally seize, its usally a cable. You should try to use the parking brake once a week to keep everything from seizing.

Re: Parking Brake Help

a little spray type lube about every 6 months on all pivot points including the p brake lever can't hurt either:jump:
