Backup Cameras
Does anyone have any experience with either of the following two backup cameras and, if so, can you give me any pros/cons (ease of install, quality of picture, field of view, etc.) that you found?

Re: Backup Cameras
I have about 6 of the color matched cams somewhere in my basement. I'll see if I can put my hands on them.

Re: Backup Cameras
I'm real interested as well. I have the HCam now and the lens is starting to get foggy. Do you happen to have Pewter?

Re: Backup Cameras
if your lens is foggy, i'd try some C-L-R or ammonia on a q-tip.... Its probably just hard water stains on the glass lens.
If you just want to swap out the camera, you can find similar ones from $50-$100. Its just glued into the fiberglass shell. Jump on one of the big security camera/cctv sites, somewhere around mini, micro or pinhole category should be alternative replacements. There was a part number on one of the camera bodies, but i dont remember if I ever found the exact match. I literally have about 12- 40gallon totes of xmas lights I need to take down first, and another 15 totes worth of lights I have to sort, test, and box up for next year before I can start digging for the cams. Don't expect me to find them this weekend. |
