Hood tilt switch not working

I was wondering if there is a OEM hood tilt switch on 2003 H2 Hummers ? My headlights used to shut off when the hood was opened but now they stay on and shine directly on the ground. I am guessing that maybe a tilt sensor or pin tells the headlights not to work when the hood is all the way open. I don't wanna mess anything up and leave it this way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Never seen any h2's that the headlights would turn off when the hood was opened.

That's strange mine used to do it. I guess it won't hurt anything. Thanks for the reply.

Why would you have the lights on when opening the hood anyways? And even if they're on, why I don't see why it would mess anything up. CHeers.

Just checked mine and the lights stay on but with that said....early H2's had hood lights and some had cabin filters neither of which I have. So, if you say yours use to shut off, I cannot say that they did not and there is nothing I can find in the service manual, the same with the cabin filter, no mention of either........

Maybe you have the hood light and it was set up to turn on and also turn off the headlights ?????? Just a guess.
