CF dash trim
 

Today my CF dash trim arrived from SAE parts. Of course the center piece has scratches all over it along with a few in the passenger side piece but everything else is about pristine. Anyway the driver side vent is a completely different CF pattern han the other pieces. Anyone had that happen to them?? The CF pattern is much larger on that piece than everything else. The only good thing about it is there is no button hole which makes me almost just keep it but I think it wouldn't look right with everything else matching.


Those of you who bought them what did you use to wetsand? The entire 30 different grit papers or would something like Mirror Glaze (I think that's what its called) work. One bottle is sort of like a rubbing compound and the other a polish.

you arent going to send the piece back?
are you plannign on painting?

I contacted the seller and have to call them today, on eastern time so I will call shortly. Hopefully they will take back the center stack trim and the driver side vent trim and send different pieces. We'll see what happens.

If not I probably will end up painting them, I always did want the Argentanium kit anyway :D

Talked to Derek from SAE Parts today, wanted me to send him pics of the mismatched part and the scratches. Said he will send out 3 new pieces at no cost and I can do whatever I want with the other pieces.
