Well I labored over the color decision for days and finally settled on Slate Blue. Since I seen hardly anything on this site in Slate Blue other than an H3, I though I would share and make a good 1st impression. As a new member to the site I will have about a million questions as I can't wait to start adding stuff. I know, I know - before you start posting - I need to add some chrome!

From the front - notice the light bar on top...I have not see this on too many H2's. This came from the factory. By the way - what is best for the front? Remove the license plate or put some H2 moniker there?

From the other side - so big I did not even fit it in the frame!

From the rear - I will have a ton of questions about adding a rear camera and what to do with the spare. I have heard some like to remove it all together - and others put nice color matching covers on them. I am not sure what I will do just yet - but that stupid single seat in the back is coming out!

Did you mean "take some chrome off"? For the front license plate dilemna, put a winch there! It's a cheap fix!

TootsSUT 12-02-2005 04:44 AM

PS - Forgot to say "welcome"!!

BumM3r 12-02-2005 04:54 AM

Congrats on the new rig! Looks sweet
I swear the stealth gray looks more blue than gray and now the slate blue looks more gray than blue...

dochummer 12-02-2005 04:59 AM

What size lights are those on the roof?

Welcome! and nice color choice!

Alec,

Man I know your photoshop fix is a little crude but I get the idea. That would look pretty bad a**. Here I was shopping online for chrome gas covers and hood latches......now you have me rethinking the whole setup!

Bondage 12-02-2005 05:06 AM

Alec........if you black it out like that, don't you hve to have the front end aligned?

HHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Beat you to it.

The lights up on top came like that from the factory. They are the same lights that come with the Pacific Blue Limited Edition. The lights are installed in a roof rack that is identical to the standard roof racks. They have a nice switch inside up by the sunroof controls. I was about to get one without and asked if they could install one of them - the parts guy said he won't see those lights for months. Luckly they had this slate blue in stock with one already installed. Only way to get it right now I guess is straight from the factory.

I have to admit that really looks awesome! Convincing the wife that this needs to be done might be a little tricky. Had to buy her a brand new Prius before I was able to go out and get this toy. That’s right - she has a Prius - 50+ miles to a gallon and I have the environment killing gas guzzler. At least I can now drive all over the environment!

Like I always say - it is easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission.

Hmmm. I did mine without removing the glass or breaking any parts. I thought you did, too?
