Anyone out there have any experience with the Hypertech type progammers? Also, will the GM type work on the H2?

I emailed them about a month ago and they said "No.". I saw another brand programmer on some site yesterday, but I cannot remember which site it was on off hand. Try googling it .

Power Programmer

The ProFlash is a powerful tuning tool that allows you to set the level of tuning that you want. This is done using separate engine and transmission files for your Hummer, allowing you to change to the mode that you want to run. The octane level and ping control can adjust for fuel quality in different areas of the country and different altitudes. The ProFlash can also correct for altered tire size and for ring and pinion changes. The speed limiter can be set to stock, 130 MPH, and unlimited.

The ProFlash will adjust the following items on your H2 Hummer

correct speedometer for changes in tire height and rear axle ratio
reduces or removes torque management on H2 Hummer
Engine tuning (economy, towing, performance)
Shift Firmness (economy, towing, performance)
Shift points (economy, towing, performance)
Ping control (Sets timing +/- 5%)
Octane level (87, 89, 92)
Speed limiter
Tire Height

I found the same programmer made by Street and Performance Products (they make the programmer for the other companies) at California Car Cover for only $310.00 plus shipping. They do not show it in their catalog but if you call them up they will special order it. It works perfect, by the seat of the pants method it definitely added power. The truck shifts more firm and it corrected my speedo due to larger tire size.

I've been thinking about getting one of these. Does anyone have one for their H2? If so, is it worth it? My brother got one for his vette and his says he has trouble pushing the gas pedal without spinning his tires...sounds good to me.

BADRAP 05-23-2003 02:46 AM

Well I have just ordered mine and I will pick it up tomorrow, so I will post results as they are available...
