No...Yes

It will help your fuel mileage. As the truck is riding on a wrecker due to the fuel lines and injector seals being corroded out, immediately preceeded by your O2 sensors burning up--You are consuming no fuel while traveling considerable miles. In this case you are getting phenomenal fuel mileage, although I can't tell you what the wrecker efficiency is at that point.

I think those flatbad wreckers get about 4mpg

if you do try it.... you'll have to let us all know how your truck is running. Good luck

Here's an interesting article on acetone. I didn't read the whole thing but they seem to have some decent data. If you try this do post back after a couple years and let us know how things are going . It looks like the key is not to overdo it.

here's an idea for you guys worried about mpg... Don't buy an H2!! go buy a VW bug and you'll have your 19-20 mpg with no acetone.

Mr. I - Man 03-01-2006 04:09 PM

Am I wrong???

That linked article said that acetone breaks down plastic and it looks like our gas tanks are plastic from underneath??

Acetone can be stored in lots of different types of plastic containers without harming them.
