I recently did the oil change myself and i now have a message on my dash that says "change oil." Is there any way to take it off, or do i have to go to the dealership to do it. Or can onstar erase it, just wondering?

Thanks

Haven't had this problem yet since I take mine to the dealership, but have you tried just pushing the button for the trip meter. That always erases the message for low tire pressure or low fuel.

if it's like my old 03 silverado turn the ignition to the on position without starting the engine and press the gas pedal 3 times while displaying the message. That should reset the engine oil life percentage.

fyi-The manual explains exactly what to do in order to clear the change oil message.

At what mileage did your oil change light come on?

you first turn the key to on but dont start, keep pressing the mileage trip until it reads oil life reset then hold in the button until you hear a couple of beeps and then turn the key back to the lock position and your done.
