WTF? So you're not going to be wheeling the SUT?

Alan06SUT 03-06-2006 02:15 AM

Of course! This will be for the trails that fubar body panels, etc. and to test lines for us if we need to. My brother is coming up so he will drive the k5 most of the time.

alldunn 03-06-2006 03:06 AM

OK just wanted to make sure you weren't pu$$ying out on us.

KenP 03-06-2006 05:29 AM

Looks like you have some new, clean stuff, underneath.

Boss Hoss 03-06-2006 07:48 PM

Looks like something you can have alot of fun in...Tellico is just around the corner!

Alan06SUT 03-07-2006 04:47 PM

Yeah if it doesnt break on me. Its pretty huge though, makes the H2 look small. I've been waiting to compare the capabilities of the two. Its got lots of clearance so we'll see which is king of Tellico. Only problem is the rear is still an open diff. I was supposed to have a detroit locker installed prior to the trip, but it didn't happen. That's a huge disadvantage for the K5.

Alan, maybe you should talk to bggrnchvy. He can one ton it, lock it and top it for you .

Its going to be dragged by H2's all weekend and I'm not looking forward to the 3hr drag through the mountains (towing it w/ the h2 up there), but it has to come out there and make it back if it breaks!

KenP 03-08-2006 05:26 AM

Let's not have any breakage. That'd suck big time.

BTW, I'm bringing extra tierods for those H2's that haven't upgraded.

I just got the fabtechs from Phil but I havent put them on yet. I'll bring them as spares as well. I have 4 staps and like 6 or 7 shakles, etc. for recovery I'll bring.

KenP 03-09-2006 05:20 AM

Trust me, between Pops, Paragon and myself, we've got you covered.

Boss Hoss 03-09-2006 06:14 AM

Good to know...finished packing the ol truck and its off to bed--see you kids tomorrow.

Can I drag it around for a while too

NoMoGMPG 03-09-2006 04:09 PM

Make sure you follow my line exactly, we're about the same track and lift. Watch your diff pumpkins though.

I'd put the fabtechs on BEFORE the trip if I were you. It's not that you can't change it out should one break but you won't be able to align it and on the trails, that won't be a big difference.... however, driving 3 hours back could possibly wear out a set of tires on the way back.

Just my .02 worth...
