I posted this in the wrong place, I'll repost here.

I took the H3 for a nice easy drive with the little woman today. No wheelin', just a drive up to the top of Four Peaks, a graded forest service road about 20 miles long, no place to pass. About 1/3 of the way up, I catch up to Jethro in his Chevy truck and he decides not to let me by. Instead, he starts flooring it around every corner and every uphill, throwing up as much gravel and dust as he can. No biggy, I just hang back there for a couple of miles and we enjoy the ride, just talking and having fun. Eventually, he loses it in one of the corners and sticks it in a ditch. I wait behind him as he spins the tires, digging in to a hopelessly stuck position. He and his buddy get out and pull out a tow strap, but I drive right by and don't even acknowledge them. There's a little traffic out there so eventually someone will pull him out, but I don't feel bad at all, in fact, I'm pretty happy about the whole thing.

Anyone think I should have pulled him sorry ass out?

Only reason I see to pull him out would be to get a picture
Will you be at the Parker 400 next week? We're coming out.

Anon,

I would have pulled him out....makes one the better person.

But then again, it could be a chick thing.....

RIC-H0 01-29-2006 01:41 AM

I woulda pulled over a few yards ahead of him and made him come over and ask for help, then mention to him that it'll cost him the beer in his cooler to get him out!

Actually, I was just discussing that subject with someone on one of the boat forums. I'm hoping to go, but I've got a crew coming over to paint my garage floor (three day job) and I've been working night shifts lately so I don't know how much sleep I'm gonna get. If I go, and it looks like I will, I'm just going for the day, leave about 0330 on Saturday and come back that night. Gotta work a swing on Sunday. I'm hoping to go.

Being a Chevy I would Have thought about it But Being a A** not so sure I could do it

f5fstop 01-29-2006 11:36 AM

I guess it would depend on whether or not I thought he was intentionally trying to prevent me from passing, or just acting like an idiot.
If you had actually started to pass and he prevented that by speeding up, then I would keep on going and gave him the infamous finger wave.
Then again, I believe in gene pool cleansing.

H3CANE 01-29-2006 12:19 PM

I wouldn't have ...

HummerJim 01-29-2006 12:54 PM

Exactly what I would have done.

banshee13 01-29-2006 01:10 PM

Grandman 01-29-2006 01:24 PM
