broke down today and had flowmaster dual exhaust installed. Put dual tip pipes to right side as to allow for better off-roading clearence. This thing has a perfect sound to it. It's not too loud, but when you mash the pedal you can really hear it. I think its a series 50.

Phil if it is a real deep sound even at idle You most likely got the 40 series which is considered a louder deeper sound. The higher the number the quieter the flowmaster is. I got the super 40 which is louder than the 40 and idle is deep not loud but when you go hard You hear it good till You let off. On interstate I usually do not hear it much at all.
My twin pipes come over axle in stock area like yours but I had mine tucked up higher where You can barely see them if you bend over which is about where stock were. I kind of wish I had came out farther which I can go back and do so I can add chrome tips. TAZ |
Rick, I think you're right that this is the 40 series. I put the tips right where you can still see them, but have enough clearance. I hope they don't rip off, but I've been assured they will be replaced for free by the installer if they break off.
