Just wondering if anyone else bought there hummer for advertising purposes and if so please post a pic and how does it work for you.

Wow--can it get more tacky? I would never buy from that guy.
A simple www......... on the rear fixed windows is enough. |
I'm not picking on you, but just wondering. From your post, you make it sound like you bought the truck strictly for getting the looks at your advertising...is this what you're saying?

I have a window screen with my phone number on it, and I also have my web adress on the front and back window.

I was thinking of doing something simular but going one step further and wraping the whole truck in vinyl. The great thing about real estate is we also get to choose who we want to work with. So what if I don't sell a house to some jackass. The majority of people who would buy a house because of the advertising would far outweight a few judgemental morons. Why not use a vehicle, that is a business tax write off, for business and get to wheel it on the weekends. I get so tired of people telling other people how they think they should run their lives. Mind your own business and shut the f%*K up.

Yes the vehicle was bought for advertising purposes. And I can honestly say if I was to spend money on some other form of advertising I would have to put a value of $8,000 to $10,000 a month on the H2 for what it does for my business. As far as tacky I guess each to there own but really lets face it, is it a very practical vehicle to do anything else with other than get out and 4 wheel with on the weekend. And as you can see I do that as well. It creates income during the week so I can play on weekends. When I posted I was looking for an honest answer not smart ass comments from people who don't even own an H1 or H2. And As far as a complete wrap that's a great idea but very expensive for this go around as the H2 was a trial thing. Perhaps when I purchase the next one for my assistant I will consider that. Thank you to the people who have made educated comments so far.

I advertise at my local health club and have gotten a pretty good response but they have almost doubled my rate for this year's contract. They went from $2,000 to $4,700. I can wrap my whole truck for around $3,000. The vinyl wrap company said the wrap will last for several years. If I use my truck for three years, then the cost is pretty cheap compared to other forms of advertising. Also if I wrap the whole thing I will not have any sun fading issues on uncovered areas. The only draw back is I will have to watch my driving.

My Fiance and I have always wanted a HUMMER, we also bought it for the tax write off as well as it's offroading ability. Hey, it's more fun to drive than a billboard. We even got a picture in the NY Times with our website. I have received several calls saying that they spotted me on the road. I've also gotten several jobs that arise from conversations about our H2. Here are a couple of pics.

You need to email me Chris! I'm starting to think you forgot about me...
![]() I'm planning to use my H2 for advertising as well. I see nothing at all wrong with doing that as it is a hell of a lot cheaper than paying to have a billboard somewhere. S&B Member since '03 |

Thank you for your reply inkaboutit h2. I have only had the decals on for 45 days now but am using the hummer in all other areas of my advertising as well. I looked into billboards but not sure I would of gotten the same results plus then I would be following instead of leading. How long do you think it took for the H2 to start bringing in business. This is a pic I had taken last week professionally

Haha... smartass.
There's a big difference between constantly having a chip on your shoulder and taking everything as a personal affront and f'ing around. But I would expect you'd be able to notice the difference. S&B Member since '03 |
