A little bit of background: A half-used box of pancake mixed with a $1.00 price tag was being auctioned for $5,000.00 starting price or a buy-it-now of $50,000. (not typos).

I assume the listing was removed because you're not allowed to sell food in opened containers.

When someone asked him if he was serious, the guy said that he could sell anything he wanted at whatever price he wanted.
