Well it was bound to happen. Thank goodness it was'nt my H3. But a unfortunate parent who let the 17 year old daughter take it out on a spin only to run a red light and collide with a Ford Expedtion. I was told no one was hurt badly. But the poor H3 will probably head to the salvage yard with only 700 miles logged on the odometer. Oh man! let this be a warning to you parents out there with teenage kids. Let them have the AMC Pacer or the stationwagon if they want to go out on a spin.

Here are a few more photos of the poor lil H3 that barely got to enjoy life
It makes you wonder how your H3 will hold up in a frontal inpact? Note: I did'nt ask the auto body guy at the Hummer dealership how fast the 17 yr old girl was driving the H3 at the time of impact.

Heres a side view. I wonder what salvage yard this Hummer will end up at? I would sure like those rims, and roof racks! I know, I know I'm a vulture, I admit it. I'm just glad that I was told everyone was O.K. and all persons involed walked away. But poor poor lil H3.

DeLeon 08-16-2005 03:37 AM

Glad to know no one was hurt.

I'd love to buy that H3 and build a mud racing truck, hey FLYINGBADGER2006, if you know if the H3 is for sale AS IS please let me know! I'll exchange the chrome wheels for your stock wheels if you want

As far as links or more details. These pics were taken by me today, while I was getting my oil changed and tires rotated (8980 miles) and I was leaving the dealership when I saw this poor lil H3 across the lot. I instantly made a bee-line to the damaged H3 when the estimator/auto body guy was walking away from it and I just asked a couple of questions as he was going back into the building. Perhaps the H3 did it's job by absorbing the impact to take the major blow away from the passengers and its driver. So there you have it. A first, for this H3 forum site. Too bad it had to be a not-so-good first.

What kind of idiot would let their kid drive a nice vehicle like this. The poor little Hummer had a short life because of someones stupidity, what a shame.

canucksnaphook 08-16-2005 11:00 AM

It appears to me that there was major frontal impact on this vehicle as we can all see. But note how perfect that the passenger area held up to the force being delivered to the rest of the frame. It does suck this beauty was in an accident, however think of the upside, if the girl was in that AMC pacer (mentioned earlier) she might not have been so fortunate. Nice work GM engineers...

C.

I cant wait to get one !!

VTSTOMPER 08-16-2005 11:34 AM

I agree - the cabin looks MINT!! Newer trucks/cars are made to take the bullet for us humans...looks like this one did that job very well. Poor little H3 though..

What makes you think that this is even noteworthy? It was an accident, **** happens.

Luckily no one was injured, which is the main thing.

Personally, I'm not gay but know a couple folks who are, and I have no problem with their orientation. Your comment has just offended any gay members of your own site, as well as folks that are trying to build bridges between the 4x4 community.

I wish you nothing but the best, onroad and offroad. Just try not to be so paranoid.
