Anyone think that a little bit of chrome is ok? I am wondering what to do to tie in the stainless running boards and chrome grill. I think maybe the hood handles, or the fuel cap, or even the door handles (just the pull handle, not the whole thing). I will not add chrome rims though...that might be too flashy for me. What do you all think? I know there are many Chrome Haters on the board...so I just wanted to get a large outlook. I have seen some that have gone overboard...and too much will ruin anything.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with chrome. As long as it is tasteful. As you said, too much will ruin anything and you don't want so much you would be afraid of hurting it. Besides, chrome and mud look great together.

Here's a cleaner look.

Very nice Ken!

WOW...Very tasteful! Where did you find the ventshades/ventvisors?

After all the years of driving drab green and wearing drab green… everything green… I look forward to more chrome. Bright, non-tactical, flashy chrome.

Not all chrome, but more than most. The wheels are polished, not chrome.

I changed out my chrome grill for a black one and just had Chrome hood handles and chrome gas cap

Thanks vtstomper. I have nothing new for the exterior and don't want any. Well, maybe I'll finally hook up the offroad lights.

Any auto parts store should have the ventshades, or can get them. I really like them.

Ken,

Love those rims/tyres - if you don't mind me asking what are they, and what do they run at $ ??

Thanks

Darren

The rims are MC2's and the tires are Nitto Terra's. I got them from the overpriced dealer before I got smart, but you can get them many places. 18".

I also think some chrome looks good on these trucks. Just try to stay away from the "stick on" stuff. My truck has rims, hood handles, hood latches and a fuel door plus the chrome that came with the Lux package.

I've got chrome but try to keep it covered as much as possible.

HA! I like it that way. A layer of mud is great protection from scratches, sundamage, fingerprints, etc.
