Hey,
I wanted to see what you guys think, I got rid of the hood handles. Then I did not like the piece of plastic on the hood, so i ordered off E-Bay this 23 pound piece of aircraft grade alluminum Stinger hood insert. Not one of those cheap covers. This replaces the plastic. I am very pleased with the fit and look. It did require drilling into the hood. Here are pics. |

Looks nice, Is the hood hard to open now with the extra weight?

LOL, I could see where you would think that, but no it opens fine. I didnt like my hood handles, and when I took them off I had big drill holes, so i decided on a replacement hood insert. |

Yea that would look cool. I think I have enough chrome now. My locking gas cap is black, and I am going to put on a black brush guard. At one time I thought i wanted the chrome door handles and mirrors, but I have enough. |

H23 - Looks solid. Do they make it without the handles?

They are not really handles they are braces for the vent pieces, and they are fairly low. I didnt want handles because they do not really add any function. I figured with this I am replacing a plastic part with alliuminum.
