They are tough, tougher than H2's as you'd expect. Besides the obvious like avoid demiliterized models, the 04 is a solid vehicle without any major issues I can think of off the top of my head given...

Depends on what you want from them. The BFG's and Toyo's are supposedly about equal in the mud with the BFG's being a little more durable overall [like in the rocks]. Toyo's are a little less noisy...
