I think I may have narrowed down my problem. When I had new driveshaft made (not the CV joint one, it's still being made) immediately the 80 mph vibration was gone.

I then had a 40-60 mph minor vibration. I had them rebalance the driveshaft again and the vibration changed to 50-70mph.

Tonight, I undid the ujoint, spun the driveshaft 180 degrees and the vibration is much less. It's basically right as the needle its the 50 mph mark and then goes away in a couple of miles per hour.

I'm thinking the driveshaft place that's balancing my driveshaft has a problem with their balancing machine.

Several years ago, I ran into the same thing and the same shop had the same problem. They replaced the bearings in their machine and it fixed my problem.

I think Monday I will go to another shop across town and have them balance them it and check it out.
