You dob't have to upgrade your tie rods before you go...
But I would suggest stopping by your dealer and picking up a spare tie rod ($60 or so) just in case you "need" it.
I carry a spare tie rod and haven't needed it. yet.
Beyond that... Go for it. Have a good time.
