you can turn the little ones around after they have reached 20lbs and they should stay in the rear of the car in the MIDDLE if you have the room!
The whole problem is the lack of neck muscle development. So you can understand that a rear collision would kill a baby if turned around the other way.
AND a child should be in a booster seat until the age of 12! YES 12!!! (just to prop the hips up enough to allow the shoulder straps to control the upper torso in the event of a crash. But how many 12 year olds could you get to sit on a booster seat!! LOL!!
A car seat is a serious topic and should be taken seriously. So take the time to be sure your kid's seat is put in properly.
