I think that's called a Lincoln Navigator. If you accidentally have to go off-road to maybe save someone who lost control of their vehicle and slipped in to a canyon you will see that your right hand will be holding your nuts not a shifter.
, although I like your idea of the interior folding down but let's keep it manual. There's enough technology in these thing to break already.
