My wife would never let me buy an H3 for either of us to drive but we have been talking about buying my eldest son one in 2 years when he gets his license. We figured it would be a good learner car for him. Plus, I know how I used to drive when I first got my license and I will be damned if he is getting behind the wheel of my H2 even when the engine is turned off.

What? Buy an H3 for a kid!!!!! Even if you have the money to do this, that's just stupid. Make him borrow one of your Montero, or buy an older used somethingor other. Spoiling a kid, no matter how good he is, with a H3 or any other nice new car is a sure way to delude him even more about the harshness of the real world. He needs to learn to be without or at least have something basic.

Wife also thinks the H3 is to soccer-momish .. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
There's tons of non-blingy offroading accessories you could add to rectify that...oh and don't wash it very much. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
When I said buy I meant co-sign for it . We have had the deal that I pick up the insurance and he pays the tab for the vehicle. I agree with you about deluding children and he understands the real world. Currently, he makes almost 500 dollars a month from mowing lawns. He bought his own mower and gas powered weed eater. He has to buy his own gas and everything else. If he continues to work the way he is and save the way he does I will put my credit up to give him the vehicle he wants. Like I said he has to pay the tab for whatever he decides he is going to purchase. Currently, he wants an H3 but we all know how kids are and they change their minds constantly. When the time comes whatever he wants and can afford I will help him out.
