Welcome to the forum. Your new so you were'nt aware that that video has been talked about in past posts. I will let the experts on this forum reply with an explaination of that video.
Tie-rods snapping are common on all types of off-road vehicles. Someone just happened to catch a good shot of one snapping on the H2. Since the H2 has more HP and torque than most off-road vehicles it would be nice if GM made beefier tie-rods. I even think someone is working on after-market ones. For owners who don't off-road that much the stock tie-rods should be more than efficient.
