drove from Seattle to Northern VA with a Gobi Rack completely loaded down. IN fact it leveled out quite nicely with about 1000 extra lbs back there.
Avgd around 18 mpg (kept at 65 to 70)... mine ran awesome. Through the Cascades and the hills in VA, I was dropping it inth 3rd going up the passes, but beyond that ran like a swiss watch.
