Given the option, definitely ask for Cerec. The crown requires 2 visits like CP said. The Cerec is really cool as you watch them manipulate 3D images of your cavity, "paint" in the filling, and PRESTO! an actual physical exact match in 10 minutes!! The crown cost me $1200. The Cerec $800 each. Yes, those are my share after the insurance..
But imho, worse than crown, cerec, or even root canal, is deep cleaning. If your dentist did not mention it, I would highly recommend NOT asking about it...
