Drive a yellow one, people don't hate on the yellow. 
I always tell them, life is too short to drive something serious and not fun. Ask them if they truly enjoy driving their Camry....do they smile and sigh every time they see their car? Do they actually enjoy the driving experience? Are they proud to say "That's MY vehicle?" Likely not, that's why they're picking on you. Notice that people with cool FUN vehicles never ask you stupid questions, they KNOW why you bought that truck.
