It's not the $$$ thing so much as what the rest of the drive train can handle. I know from experiance that jumping beyond the window of what the drive train can handle will start to domino through, breaking the next weakest link. From what I have read here if a person wants to go with a supercharger then it is advised to beef up the rest too. At ten times the cost of a programer the supercharger seems extreme, very cool, but...
