I have found that it doesn't really matter if you have the locking nut or not. If they want the rim, they will get it just like deicustoms said. Really, they'll just take the whole car.
mcgard.com had good locking nuts however, this is the brand I had on my Mustang Cobra and everytime I went to use the "key" to remove the nut it would break. I'll bet I went through 4 keys befire I just put the regular nut back on and said the heck with it! Plus the Ford dealer had a master set made out of some high grade steel. So I would end up over there all the time having them remove the lock nuts.
