"Hummers" are H1s, H2s and H3s, and are made and/or licensed by General Motors. They do not serve our Armed Forces in any capacity.
HMMWV, or Humvees, are the vehicles bought from AM General for use in our Armed Services.
So, the first sign is, in fact, not true.
