well that got sideways quick - now kiss and make up!
as for the spare or not...I have plugs in 3 of my 5 tires...I have never had to actually use the spare. But I have seen a sidewall on a SuperSwamper ripped open with a 4" gash, so best to have a spare just in case IMO. I know you can stitch a sidewall - but at that point I say go with the spare.
I have over 12k miles on 2 plugs with no problems. Plus I always stop to help those with a flat (need to spread a little 4x4 goodwill these days) and I would rather patch it and air them up then change the flat - it's faster and easier.
